Alfonso: WI-7 doesn’t need Deadbeat Dad Fred Clark representing them in Congress.

• Clark refused to pay child support for his own child and had to be forced by a court to pay. Court records show his payments were not raised for more than a year after he won his Assembly seat, leaving him 26 months behind on the higher amount.

• Clark said he wanted to “smack” around a female constituent. In 2011, Clark was calling voters in a recall race against Republican state Sen. Luther Olsen when he reached constituent Sue Stapelman. Clark pitched Stapelman on voting for him. Stapelman responded dismissively to his pitch, and hung up. Clark then told a campaign aide,“OK. I feel like calling her back and smackin’ her around.”

WAUSAU, Wis. — Today, Alfonso for Congress released a new digital ad showing who Michael Alfonso is at his core: a young husband and father who wants his children to inherit the same American Dream he grew up with in Wisconsin.

For Alfonso, this race is personal. As a new dad, he sees the same challenges facing families across Northern Wisconsin: rising prices at the grocery store and the gas pump, and housing that feels out of reach. And he knows who’s standing in the way. Extreme Democrats like Fred Clark who want to raise taxes, push Green New Scam energy agendas, and put boys in girls’ sports.

“When I hold my daughter, I think about the Wisconsin I grew up in, where you could work hard, start a family, and count on a better life,” said Alfonso. “Too many young parents today feel like that dream is slipping away. I’m running because my family, and every family in the Northwoods, deserves a representative who will fight for the kitchen table issues that are always top of mind.”

Alfonso grew up in Wisconsin’s 7th District and had a quintessential Wisconsin childhood: hunting, fishing, and playing hockey and football. After living in Land O’ Lakes, he moved to Wausau for middle and high school, where he met his now-wife, Evita Duffy, at Newman Catholic. Alfonso went on to earn a degree in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, graduating debt-free after working construction to pay his way through college. Today, he and Evita are raising their young family in the same Northwoods community that raised them.

At a pivotal time for our country, Alfonso brings a perspective Washington badly needs. He is part of the generation that has been told to hate America, been told the American Dream is out of reach, and he is determined to prove that wrong. Alfonso will fight to lower costs for working families, strengthen our trades and skilled labor job market, to defend the faith and values that hold our communities together, and to push back on the socialist policies that are winning over too many young voters by promising what they can never deliver.

HAYWARD, Wis. — RINO Jessi Ebben’s new attack ad calls Michael Alfonso a “carpetbagger” with no job. Both claims are false, and Ebben—a two-time congressional candidate who only just moved into the 7th District herself—doesn’t get to lecture anyone about carpetbagging.

It’s no coincidence. The latest attack ad from our Republican opponents is being bankrolled by an anti-Trump dark money PAC. This same PAC opposed President Trump and spent money against him in 2016. Wisconsin voters deserve to know who is really funding these smears—and why.

THE FACTS:

The facts her dark money minions ignored: Michael Alfonso grew up in Land O’Lakes, in the heart of the 7th District, before his family moved to Wausau, where he met his wife, Evita, in middle school. He graduated from Newman Catholic High School in Wausau. He started working at age 14 and paid his own way through the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Those are FACTS that Ebben can’t wave away—it’s a record any voter in the Northwoods can check for themselves.

“Jessi Ebben’s ad is downright dishonest—she’s calling Michael a carpetbagger with no job when he grew up in this district, went to high school in this district, and worked since he was 14 years old to pay his own way through UW-Madison,”said Alfonso Campaign Manager William Blathras. “Meanwhile, Ebben is a Minnesotan who moved into the 7th District only recently, after losing a Republican primary to Trump-endorsed Derrick Van Orden in the 3rd District six years ago. If anyone should be careful about throwing around the word ‘carpetbagger,’ it’s her.”

Unfortunately for Ebben, her credibility problem doesn’t stop there. She has admitted—in her own words–that she signed the 2012 petition to recall Governor Scott Walker during the fight over Act 10, the defining conservative reform of a generation in Wisconsin. Not one other Republican in this race signed it because what conservative would oppose sweeping reform that has saved Wisconsin taxpayers BILLIONS.

When you’ve lost a primary, moved into a new district, and signed a petition to recall a conservative icon, maybe attack ads aren’t your strongest play. Wisconsin voters will see through this Wisconsin voters will see through this—no matter which anti-Trump opponent is funding it. Michael has lived the life he says he’s lived. Our opponents are the ones who need to explain their own records—not invent one for Michael Alfonso..

President Trump endorsed exactly one candidate in this race. It wasn’t Jessi Ebben. Voters in Wisconsin’s 7th District won’t take dark money PACs word for who Michael Alfonso is — his roots, his family, his high school, his university, and his work ethic are all a matter of public record.

Alfonso for Congress released a new ad highlighting that he is the President Donald J. Trump endorsed candidate for Wisconsin’s 7th district. As President Trump said, Michael will never let Northwoods voters down. Wisconsin’s 7th District needs fresh energy in Washington, not more of the same.

Michael Alfonso, the Trump-endorsed candidate for Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District, spent time today with farmers at Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, hosted at a fifth-generation family farm in Stratford.

Alfonso spoke directly with farmers about the challenges and opportunities facing Wisconsin agriculture.

“Wisconsin’s farmers are the backbone of our district and our state,” Alfonso said. “I came to Farm Technology Days to listen, and what I heard is clear: farmers in the 7th District need a fighter in Congress who will back President Trump’s agenda to cut red tape, oppose green new scam policies, and put more money back into the pockets of farmers and families.”

One of the many reasons Alfonso is running for Congress is to fight for relief for the American farmers struggling after four years of Biden abandoning them.

Alfonso wants to build on the success of Republicans in Congress & the Trump administration who have already:

• Secured over $12 billion in direct relief to American farmers affected by unfair trade practices and Biden-era cost increases.
• Negotiated a deal with Iran. If any Iranian assets are ever unfrozen, the funds would make American farmers richer by purchasing American soy, American corn, and American wheat.
• Cut burdensome regulations for farmers.
• Eliminated or reduced tariffs on U.S. agricultural exports from 10 countries.
• Decreased the agriculture trade deficit by over 40% in just 18 months.
• Ended the electric vehicle mandate, which would have gutted the ethanol industry.
• Issued a new rule giving farmers the right to repair, saving the average farmer up to $30,000 on major repairs.
