From the pine forests of Vilas County to the working-class city of Wausau, Michael Alfonso has deep roots in Wisconsin’s 7th District. He was raised right here, and his upbringing was steeped in traditional Wisconsin values of faith, community, hard work, hockey, and American patriotism.

Michael paid his own way through college at UW–Madison by putting on boots and working 10-hour days building houses, paving roads, and laying concrete.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Michael married his best friend from high school, Evita Duffy, when he was 22 years old.

He began married life in Hayward, Wisconsin, returning to the construction and concrete industry — working hard, rain or shine, even on the coldest Wisconsin winter days. A year later, he became the producer of one of the nation’s top-rated podcasts, The Dan Bongino Show.

Michael’s story, however, was shaped long before he was born — by his grandfather’s escape from the horrors of communist Cuba.

The American Dream isn't an abstract concept to Michael. He and his family know firsthand that life would be very different had his grandparents not risked their lives to flee Cuba at the end of the Castro Revolution. His grandparents' decision changed the course of his family's history, and it's why Michael was raised to thank God every day that he was born in this blessed country.
But today, the American Dream that his grandfather sought is slipping away.

Michael was deeply affected by the erosion of our constitutional rights during COVID. He watched as draconian decisions closed schools, shuttered businesses, and hurt Americans, especially the elderly and young.

We still feel the effects of the lockdowns, the lies, and the loss of trust in our government and institutions. Michael promises he won't let what was done to the American people during COVID happen again.

Meanwhile, as some prosper in today’s economy, young people are being left behind.
The housing market is unaffordable, and family-supporting jobs are scarce, forcing many young people to leave our district.

For decades, corporations and corrupt politicians hollowed out our economy and betrayed American workers for cheap labor and foreign profits. That’s why Michael supports President Trump’s efforts to put American jobs first.
Michael knows that when the economy feels rigged for insiders and fails the average American, young people become vulnerable to the false promises of socialism.

Like Fidel Castro before them, today’s socialist figures — AOC, Bernie Sanders, and Zohran Mamdani — promise utopia but deliver only misery.

Enticed by the illusion of “free” government handouts, many Americans are taken in by these left-wing radicals.
Michael is running for Congress to ensure that the nation that rescued his family from tyranny never embraces the very system they fled.

Freedom, economic liberty, the rule of law, and personal responsibility have always been the secret sauce of the American Dream — and Michael is committed to keeping that dream alive.
Michael will be guided by one principle: always put Wisconsin’s 7th District and America First. The people he'll serve will be his only consideration.
As a young conservative living in Madison, Wisconsin during his college years, Michael was deeply inspired by the courage of Charlie Kirk, who risked his life to speak the truth on American campuses.
In the wake of Charlie’s assassination, Michael is ready to take on the challenge and honor of representing the hardworking people of Wisconsin’s 7th District in Washington, D.C.

The mission is simple — put America First.

Let’s do this.
